Community Culture, -Networks and Social Inclusion Research Group

Our aim is to explore, compare and analyse those networks of the post-modern societies that are embedded in the culture, in the community, and behind the inclusive education. We are focusing on the research of institutionsof individual participants, the communities and their characteristics.

We intend to conduct research in the following topics:

  • The network of community centres and cultural communities
  • The characteristics of the community centres and local cultural spaces
  • The patterns of cultural consumption  in different groups of the society
  • The different forms of inclusion (e.g. in micro-communities, such as home school; in higher education, at work place and in the society of minorities, and migrant groups)
  • Guiding theories and their cultural implications in community centres and cultural communities
  • Cultural development of the Carpathian Basin and its institutions, cultural traditions in contemporary and historical perspective
  • The global and European challenges of the culture, solutions for creating  cultural community networks and the effects of the virtual reality on the culture

The members of the research group meet three times a semester. From 2021 on, each spring we organize professional workshops or conference, with Hungarian and international participants.
