What Makes Leadership Destructive?

On October 14, we had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Art Padilla (North Carolina State University) at ELTE PPK for his insightful lecture on Destructive Leadership: Leaders, Followers, and Contexts.

Prof. Padilla explored the toxic triangle of destructive leadership, the leader, the followers, and the environment,  reminding us that leadership is not just about individuals, but about systems and relationships.

A thought-provoking session on why even well-intentioned systems can enable harmful leadership and how awareness, ethics, and institutional balance can prevent it.

A huge thank you to Prof. Padilla for this engaging session and to everyone who joined the discussion at ELTE PPK.
Let’s keep asking the hard questions about leadership,  not just what it is, but what it does.
