What can we collectively learn from the research on student learning?

"In the past 30-40 years, higher education pedagogical research has increasingly highlighted the need to focus on our collective influence on helping or hindering student progress. In other words, the evidence points clearly to a range of factors including, but going beyond, teaching practices that influence student success. In this talk, I will highlight some of the key findings, ones I have found powerful in how I think about learning and my efforts to enhance it."
