The journal published by the institute aims to provide a platform for academic discourse on adult learning and knowledge management, emphasizing the need to integrate theory and practice within the framework of formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts. JALKI publishes both empirical research and studies presenting theoretical summaries, reinforcing a problem-focused and critical approach to the examination and interpretation of the various phenomena arising in this field.

The editor-in-chief of the JALKI journal, published in cooperation between Akadémiai Kiadó and ELTE PPK, is Dr. Helga Dorner, director of the Institute of Research on Adult Education and Knowledge Management.
