14:00–15:00 International Student Mobility and Higher Education Pedagogy

214. room

In this workshop, we will reflect on the relationship between international student mobility and the development of higher education pedagogy, particularly, the role of self-assessment tools in enhancing the quality of teaching, both in individual and organizational contexts.

Students' mobility intentions can be significantly influenced by the academic culture of both the home and host institutions, as well as the high standards of teaching and learning activities provided by the host institution. Based on this insight, the Erasmus GAP institutional self-assessment tool helps institutions evaluate their strengths and areas for improvement, particularly in the dimension of teaching and learning.

Together with participants, we will review and discuss the institutional self-assessment tool developed in the Erasmus GAP international cooperation project and explore how it can be meaningfully used in their contexts.

Workshop facilitators:

Luca Alexa Erdei, PhD, assistant professor, ELTE PPK FTI;
