Call for Papers

The Higher Education Pedagogy Conference 2025 provides space for the presentation of cross-disciplinary research related to the support of student learning pathways, the sharing of educational best practices and developments, and the encouragement of collaborative reflection across academic fields. We welcome submissions from researchers, educators, and professionals who are involved in supporting student learning pathways and committed to a cross-disciplinary pedagogical approach in higher education.

You can submit your abstract for a paper presentation or for a trend talk until 22 June 2025.

PAPER PRESENTATION

Paper presentations are organised into thematic sessions. These sessions are moderated by a chair. Paper sessions are scheduled for one-and-a-half hours, usually with four or five presenters, each followed by a discussion with the audience. The author presenting the paper should register for the conference before submission.

Submit an abstract detailing the

(1) aims,
(2) theoretical framework,
(3) methodology/research design,
(4) results and findings, and
(5) theoretical and educational significance

of your research. The length of the Hungarian and/or English language abstract is 1500-2000 characters with spaces.

TREND TALK

In a TEDx-style presentation format, we invite you to briefly share an inspiring idea, concept, experience, or emerging trend related to supporting student learning pathways and fostering dialogue across disciplines about this issue. A Trend Talk could feature the presentation of an innovative educational or mentoring program, a personal story about professional development, or a new perspective on how different fields of knowledge can connect to better support learners' success. The goal is for these short talks to be thought-provoking and inspiring, opening new directions for collective reflection and discussion.

The Trend Talk format consists of two parts:

  • a focused presentation of approximately 5 minutes,
  • followed by a 10-minute guided, interactive discussion with the audience.

The submitted abstract should include not only the planned content of the talk but also the proposed method for facilitating the interactive discussion.

The length of the Hungarian and/or English language abstract is 1500-2000 characters with spaces.
